Volunteers Needed for Growing Gardens Initiative

Rachel’s Table is looking for gardeners to help support local partners that are participating in our Growing Gardens initiative. The Growing Gardens initiative helps Pioneer Valley organizations grow food for their communities. Rachel’s Table will help these organizations build gardens to grow culturally appropriate food desired by the constituents of each agency. Rachel’s Table will also provide materials such as kits to create raised beds, especially for agencies who may have constituents in wheelchairs, and gardening mentoring is also available.

Find out more here.

There are many other ways you can help Rachel’s Table make a difference in the Pioneer Valley. You can:

  • Become a driver or dispatcher to help rescue food Sunday through Friday, 9am to Noon.
  • Join us as a community gleaner for Bea’s Harvest: The Gleaning Program of Rachel’s Table.
  • Tell us what you’re good at and how else you’d like to volunteer.
  • Get involved in one of our current initiatives or join us at an upcoming event.

Check out this video about one of volunteers, Steve Lepow, who delivers fresh food six days across 3 counties. Join us by volunteering your time to make a difference in our community.
