Foodraiser 2020

Foodraiser – our beloved shopping competition to feed our neighbors goes virtual this year!! Different location – your home, but same fun, same focus. All food purchased will be sent directly to Providence Ministries, Springfield, the Amherst Survival Center and Franklin County Community Meals Program

Please use the sign-up forms below to register yourself or to register as a team.  If you are a team captain, you’ll need the names and email addresses of your teammates.

This will be the first ever (in the world!) online competition in partnership with OneDeeds, a new product donation platform and will have two tracks – individual and teen (youth) teams. We are grateful to our lead sponsor for our teen teams, Dr Peck of Taylor Street Dental.

Teen teams track:

Each team (3-5) of teenagers, with a designated team leader, will compete with other teams to purchase the most amount of food for the price limit we give – which is fully sponsored by Taylor St. Dental and other individuals. The competition will use the Onedeeds platform and occur on Zoom on December 20, 6-8pm. There will be other categories of winning, such as the coolest product. Participants must also purchase at least one item from each of the 4 food groups. The leader of the team will upload the team’s items to their “wish list.” The game begins at 6pm, when the team leader signs onto the Ondeeds site, and they learn the rules. The team leader coordinates with their team and then at 7pm, the game begins!

The next day, December 21, we will figure out the winner/s and send prizes. Also, of course, the food will be sent to three of our agencies – one in each county we serve – Franklin County Community Meals Program, the Amherst Survival Center, and Providence Ministries.

To be a part of the game, we need the team leader to register their team. The team leader will need to know the names and email addresses of their teammates. Then, as we get closer, details will be sent to all.

Team Registration

Team registration is for youths only. (Teams must have 3-5 members)

Individual track:

This game will take place throughout December 13th – 18th. The game is to shop for the most amount of food for the three levels $18, $36, and $72. If you’d like to shop for more, you are welcome. There will be a variety of healthy food to choose from and the game is to purchase as much as you can for your level. This is a fun way to support our agencies, to learn about this very new wonderful platform (Onedeeds) and to perhaps win a prize!  Each person will choose their level, and then keep track of each purchase to reach their goal. The food will go the next day directly to our agencies and we will figure out the winner/s and send prizes. Also, of course, the food will be sent to three of our agencies – one in each county we serve – Franklin County Community Meals Program, the Amherst Survival Center, and Providence Ministries.
