Teen Board Director

Responsible for the Teen Board and implementing the programs of the Teen Board.  Ensure that educational objectives of teaching Tzedakah (charity) and Mitzvot (good deeds) are met through activities of the Teen Board.

  • Oversee Teen Board Officers
    • Plan and execute leadership development training
    • Ensure that officers are performing their responsibilities
    • Help them to plan and execute events, programs and meetings
    • Check up with relevant officers between meetings
    • Make a minimum of bi-weekly check-ins with president(s)
    • Help officers in charge create checklists and to-do lists for programs
    • Follow-up/nudge officers to complete tasks
    • Ensure that there is proper publicity for all events
    • Encourage officers to recruit
  • Ensure that all program and event details are complete
    • Plan monthly meeting and activity with an educational component
    • Research and acquire all materials needed for programs that go beyond officers’ abilities/responsibilities
    • Create spreadsheets, programs, registration forms, etc. for all programs including Outrun Hunger and Foodraiser
    • Use your skills to improve and expand existing programs
    • Use existing contacts and create new contacts to recruit new members and increase participation in large events by reaching out to school administrations and faculties
    • Assist director, assistant director, officers with fundraising and grant writing for Teen Board program
    • Assist with grant reports
  • Work with Rachel’s Table staff members
    • Evaluate events and Program with staff and volunteers
    • Partner with staff in Teen Board programming
    • Report to director for supervision, guidance, questions, etc.

15 hours per month; 10-month position
