Working to Alleviate Hunger and Reduce the Waste of Food in Western Massachusetts
A program of the Jewish Federation of Western Massachusetts
Rachel’s Table’s work impacts all levels of food and nutrition security. We love sharing good food with organizations like Christina’s House, where food we are delivering or helping to grow make it to their kitchens and its tables.
Welcome to Rachel's Table
Since 1992, Rachel’s Table, a program of the Jewish Federation of Western Massachusetts, has been working to alleviate hunger and reduce food waste in our community.
Six days a week, more than 200 volunteers collect food from local supermarkets, restaurants, caterers and bakeries, and deliver it to more than 53 organizations in our community, including soup kitchens, food pantries, and shelters.
These organizations, which are located in Hampden, Hampshire and Franklin Counties, serve the following towns and cities and their surrounding areas: Springfield, Longmeadow, West Springfield, Feeding Hills, Chicopee, Holyoke, Indian Orchard, Westfield, Northampton, Amherst, Easthampton, Greenfield, Orange and Turners Falls.
Rachel’s Table is also a catalyst for community activism. Our volunteers come from varied backgrounds, religions and cultures, and range in age from teenagers to people in their nineties.

We’d like to thank everyone who donated/participated in this year’s Outrun Hunger! Each $1 donated = 4 meals for people who are food insecure!!
