Thirty years of fighting, alleviating, and filling the hunger gap in Western Massachusetts
Rachel’s Table is the premier food rescue and distribution program in Western Massachusetts, created by members of the Women’s Philanthropy Division of the Jewish Federation of Western Massachusetts to address food insecurity in the region
Our youth makes a difference! High school students interested in joining our Teen Board can find us on Instagram and let us know. Our mission is to educate ourselves and our community about childhood hunger and food insecurity and then work together to make a difference!
Welcome to Rachel's Table
Since 1992, Rachel’s Table, a program of the Jewish Federation of Western Massachusetts, has been working to alleviate hunger and reduce food waste in our community.
Six days a week, more than 200 volunteers collect food from local supermarkets, restaurants, caterers and bakeries, and deliver it to more than 53 organizations in our community, including soup kitchens, food pantries, and shelters.
These organizations, which are located in Hampden, Hampshire and Franklin Counties, serve the following towns and cities and their surrounding areas: Springfield, Longmeadow, West Springfield, Feeding Hills, Chicopee, Holyoke, Indian Orchard, Westfield, Northampton, Amherst, Easthampton, Greenfield, Orange and Turners Falls.
Rachel’s Table is also a catalyst for community activism. Our volunteers come from varied backgrounds, religions and cultures, and range in age from teenagers to people in their nineties.
Contact us for more information, or get involved today in one of our food rescue programs!
We’d like to thank everyone who donated/participated in this year’s Outrun Hunger! Each $1 donated = 4 meals for people who are food insecure!!
Artsfest is a biannual contest held by the Rachel’s Table Teen Board to raise awareness of hunger, food insecurity, and healthy eating in our community and beyond.
